What an amazing and yet heart wrenching time! 

The opening of Charles Dickens book, A Tale of Two Cities came to me this morning and thought I would share it with you to point out how cyclical life is: “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.”

The range of experiences that people are having world wide in this Global LifeQuake we are in, is such an indicator of just how transformational and evolutionary the bigger picture is. For about two years now, I have been sharing that Uranus entering Taurus was going to bring a complete change to our values, what we spend money on, and even our careers. Over the next six years, I predict a radical shift in not just where we work ( as has been exemplified in the last 5-6 weeks), but how we work and the very nature of what our work is. I have been advocating for naps in the afternoon for the past 8 years. I hope you are gifting yourself this as part of your day. In this evolutionary leap, we are being called to see what fits best for us to survive and thrive. What will fit best for our immune systems is doing work where we experience authentic purpose fulfillment. 

 There was a story that Katie Couric ( Good Morning America former anchor) reported on the internet based magazine Medium about a 22 year old Hispanic man who died of Covid 19. Now, if you don’t read the specifics, you might jump to the conclusion that any 22 year old can get this. What was also mentioned was that he was the father of a newborn baby and he worked in a convenience store.

It didn’t mention whether his wife had a job but my guess is that this guy was working a lot to support his new family and exposed to all kinds of people who frequent a 7/11 type store at all hours of the night. If you combine exhaustion ( just living with a newborn is exhausting!) with customer exposure and a job that is going nowhere, your immune system is bound to be affected.

He may ( like the young guy who exposed a lot of people in Loew’s) have pushed through his symptoms not knowing he had this virus weeks ago, because he really needed this job. I’m not saying that wealthy people haven’t died of this virus but the large majority of those who did not survive were either poor, on the front line, or suffering from co-morbidity factors.

In early January, I began to feel that death was near. I even updated my will because it was hard to tell whose death that might be. Then I had a dream around mid January in which I was shown India from the top of a mountain. And the “tour guide” showed me the extreme wealthy homes and the areas of extreme poverty. He then told me that a time was coming that any country where the economic divide was extreme was not going to survive.

On Wednesday, April 23rd we have a new moon in the sign of Taurus. We are now in what is called ‘the dark of the moon’. This is not the time to launch anything new until Wednesday. Taurus is very tangible. It rules sensuality, stability, comfort, money, gardens, and tradition. Taureans, unless they have a bunch of Aries or Gemini, are the most change resistant sign of the entire zodiac. They move toward what makes them feel comfortable but no necessarily what truly nourishes. We all have it ruling some house in our chart unless we have an intercepted house. Therefore, most of us will have the Sun, Moon and Uranus in Taurus visiting a specific house. With Uranus, there is, and will be, one area at least in your life that will go through radical change in the next six years. As we go through this massive evolutionary birth together, I invite you to choose what truly nourishes your soul over what merely gives comfort.

In the past five weeks, what have you noticed about your relationship with change? How do you manage change in your life when it comes suddenly? What are you discovering about yourself that surprises you in a good way?

 I have been sharing the lives of brave leaders in my newsletter lately. I choose them intuitively, and then discover how timely that choice is. I looked up the chart of Malcolm X, a Taurus with a balsamic moon in Aries. Balsamic moon people come here for their last incarnation, typically to make a difference. With his moon in Aries, he was meant to break new ground and be a warrior.

I dont know if Malcolm knew his astrology chart but several aspects indicate a violent but angelically blessed death. When he was assassinated, they shot 15 bullets into his 6ft 4 in frame and he went down instantly.

 In researching his life and his death, I was surprised to read that he had gone through such a transformation of his rage toward white people and MLK at the end of his life. In late 1963 after Kennedy’s death and 15 months before his own, Malcolm X left America and spent two months in Africa and the Middle East. He traveled to Mecca, and saw Muslims of different races peacefully united. The experience was a life-changing moment for him. He wrote, “The true brotherhood I had seen had influenced me to recognize that anger can blind human vision.” He decided race problems could be conquered without separatism. 

J. Edgar Hoover, in a taped conversation with Lyndon Johnson said that what they needed to do was get King and Malcolm X fighting each other. That may have worked early on through manipulation of the media but in the end, he was at peace with King.

Where his true courage came was in leaving the Nation of Islam. Muhammed Ali was a dear friend who abandoned him when he left. The sign of Taurus does not easily leave behind the religious tradition they align with. When he discovered that Elijah Muhammed was involved in money misappropriation and sex scandals, his integrity would not allow him to stay. This is where being orphaned comes in handy. You are free to follow your own path. His father was a minister and activist who was also murdered and then his mother had a mental breakdown and was hospitalized. All heroes’ journeys begin with the death of a parent in childhood.

In his autobiography, he wrote, “If I can die having brought any light, having exposed any meaningful truth that will help destroy the racist cancer that is malignant in the body of America – then, all of the credit is due to Allah. Only the mistakes have been mine.” 

Both he and Martin died of assassination at the age of 39, the beginning of their Uranus opposition. Between age 39-42, most people will experience some kind of big change coming into their lives. But Uranus, (as the lightning bolt planet that rules radical change), is now calling all of us to leave behind what is faulty programming, in order to embrace the new world.

Righteous rage can have a place if we use it to move ourselves and the world forward and evolve it into unity consciousness. Is there anything right now that is ‘getting your goat’? I hope your holiday was restful.

Now that Mercury has finally moved out of watery passive ( stay home and sleep) Pisces into courageous, pioneering Aries, facts will begin to emerge that were not present before. The media was selling the belief that anyone over the age of 14 could very well get the Covid 19 virus and die.

On the very day that Mercury went into the sign of the trailblazer, Friday, April 10th, the CDC released data that in 90% of cases of people requiring hospitalization who were in the 20-55 year old range, they had at least one co-morbidity disorder. Listed as the most common were diabetes, hypertension, chronic lung disorder, and heart diseases. People who smoke and/or are at least 25 pounds overweight are at very high risk. I’m sure the stats don’t include hospital personnel on the front lines who are dealing with exhaustion and high exposure to the virus. And, this refers to those hospitalized, not anyone who happens to test positive for it.

From reports of famous people, it also seems that exhaustion combined with being exposed to large groups of people in contained spaces ( such as planes) were also at risk, but again most did not require hospitalization.

Last October here in Asheville, at a county fair, 124 people contracted Legionnaire’s Disease. To quote NPR, “While many healthy people might encounter Legionella without growing ill, it can especially affect smokers, people over the age of 50, those with chronic lung conditions and people with weakened immune systems.”

Aquarius rules large groups. Saturn, the planet of constriction just went into Aquarius. I predict we will see a change next year around events involving large groups of people at least for a few years.

As I was writing my soon to be released book, The LifeQuake Miracle, I included a quote from Jonas Salk, the scientist credited with curing polio. “Evolution favors not the survival of the fittest as Darwin had touted, but who fits best for the evolutionary mandate of the time.” I believe that as we step into an evolutionary leap in consciousness, who fits best for the planet’s healing are people who adopt healthy eating habits, exercise, and don’t treat their lungs and the environment as a toxic waste dump. Now, this does not include people who were born with respiratory challenges who have had to learn most of their lives to take special care of their bodies.

What doesn’t work in the new species is excess. What the data shows is that the more food consumed, the more waste produced. Countries have personalities. When my former mother in law came to visit from England, she shared with me her observation of watching Americans eat and the quantities that they eat in restaurants and how sedentary we are as a culture. She was elderly but walked for an hour every day as she had done her entire life.

We are a country who binges. We binge on shopping, food, and now, television series since the invention of smart apps like Netflix and Amazon. Some of my clients have complained of weight gain the last few weeks. It is understandable to reach for comfort as we adapt to this new normal. However, getting out of the houses and moving one’s bodies is muy importante. Sweating detoxes both your physical body and your emotional body. Your lymphatic system and your lungs will love you for it!

Speaking of Netflix, they have a new series based on Sigmund Freud’s early career as a neurologist. Freud was a Taurus. Ordinarily, you don’t see a lot of rebelliousness in the workplace of those with this sun sign because they care too much about their financial security but Freud had a Mercury ( your thinking and communication) Uranus ( out of the box of convention) conjunction. We have Uranus moving through Taurus now for a few years to come yet, breaking up our false sense of what security really is ( clue: it’s not staying home that will bring a sense of true emotional safety, although it it necessary to stop the spread of the virus). Uranus is the rebel, the iconoclast. Freud tried to play it safe by being a neurologist and working in the hospital like a good Jewish boy. (There is a touching scene with his mother at Shabbat.) However, he believed that hypnosis and the one to one relationship with the patient could heal people who were suffering from illnesses that had an emotionally traumatic origin, so amongst neurologists was considered a heretic.

Watching this brought me back to a time when I got out of graduate school where I was trained in Neo-Freudian theory. I wanted nothing to do with this old paradigm of analyzing people. Yet, a hundred years ago, he was proposing something very avant garde for the period. Analysis for those who could afford it became the forerunner of personal growth. This was the beginning of “what fits best” for the hundred year awakening that began in the Victorian Age. Being a trailblazer is not easy though. His coping strategy for bucking the system and his own family included becoming a cocaine addict.

So often, those who broke new ground in the past, LifeQuake pioneers as you will, have turned to drugs to numb the pain of rejection from their peers. However this is a new time. Evolutionary change management requires listening to your intuition for signs in advance. We will see many more freedom lovers emerge in the next few years because what fits best is telling the truth to yourself first and then the world.

Further, we will see that following your true purpose is an evolutionary mandate for the new human and that out of that consciousness, addiction will decrease. Mother Earth ( Pachamama) has become ruthlessly compassionate. She has no room for people who wait until their lives go up in flames anymore. A “disastering rather than mastering change” mentality won’t allow us to survive on the planet. And for this reason, preparing for the return of Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn in late Fall needs to start now with impeccable health habits, self compassion, and excavating your cellar ( the unconscious) for clues to your true purpose.

Astrology Tips for Your Work Week

1. Pay attention to your dreams Sunday evening. Monday, the moon will trine Uranus in the wee hours of the morning, west coast time which can bring inventive ideas. Also, beginning Sunday evening for 36 hours until Tuesday morning at 8:34 AM, the moon will be out of bounds making for more emotional decision making. People may also be a little friskier around bending the rules on our stay home, stay safe cycle.
2. Tuesday there are more challenging aspects from the moon to Pluto and the sun.
3. Wednesday is the day to pull the trigger on projects or meetings as long as you don’t skip any steps or take any unnecessary risks.
4. Thursday, there are no exact aspects with the planets which can have the effect of creating an even greater feeling of isolation, so use the time to go within.
5. Friday morning is best for routine tasks as we have a void moon until 11:30 AM PDT or, work on your serenity practice.

You building up your immune system and serenity practice, (whatever that is) now is the key to transformation for the world when the alignment of Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto come back into conjunction around Halloween through December 15.

We are gradually moving into a completely new world but this will take time. Every time you meditate, pray or listen to a class that supports your personal growth, you participate in evolving the world into a gentler, more compassionate place. First off, my apologies if you got two emails from me last weekend. There was a glitch in my program. And secondly, if you were not able to get on to the new moon activation due to our technical difficulties , I do hope you listened to the replay. It’s not too late and so helpful for this times. Also, it is like one big giant Mercury retro in the technology world right now. Some people’s facebook live events have crashed, Zoom calls more difficult, etc

I am sending this to you today because I was told by a few sources that there could be an electrical grid black out for three days and it can be anytime between now and April 14th so I wanted you to have this information below to plan your week next week.

I am giving a free global activation on the full moon Tuesday April 7th at 5:00 PM PDT as it is so reflective of this month with the focus on Venus. Managing change in this time of a Global LifeQuake involves listening deeply to your heart and the planet Venus. With this full moon in Libra, we also have a Venus ruled moon so the goddess of love and money is so present now.

More than ever before in your life, it is important to filter all information you receive through your heart. As I mentioned in a previous newsletter, in the movie The Matrix, taking the red pill meant choosing freedom of thought, not just passively hooked into the blue pill Matrix. I think of the red pill as anchored in your heart. You are being called to a new life, a new soul purpose. There is a supreme test here on managing anxiety and fear.
In honor of the full moon in Libra, I am sharing with you a little about a great freedom fighter that has unfortunately been forgotten in the history of revolutionary scientists of the 19th century, all because he had the courage to dispute Louis Pasteur’s germ theory that apparently is alive and well today as a philosophy. Pasteur put all the blame for microbial based illnesses on the pathogen itself. In Antoine Bechamp cell theory, he asserted that it was the health of the host and the environment that the host was living in that determined if a pathogen could take hold and cause illness. To prevent illness, Bechamp advocated not the killing of germs but the cultivation of health through diet, hygiene, and healthy lifestyle practices such as fresh air and exercise. Further, that regardless of age, health practices highly inform the immune system which is why not every elderly person exposed or 20 something exposed to a pathogen will get sick.
Unfortunately, Pasteur who was very jealous of Bechamp had very wealthy connections that blocked Bechamp’s work from getting its due.

The irony is that towards the end of his life, Pasteur renounced the germ theory and admitted that Bechamp was right all along. Unfortunately, modern medicine’s reliance on vaccines is strongly rooted in Pasteur’s germ theory, even to this day.

In the 20th century, a group of alternative medicine practitioners accused Pasteur, as did The French Academy of Sciences, of plagiarising and then suppressing Béchamp’s work, citing work such as Ethel Douglas Hume’s Béchamp or Pasteur: A Lost Chapter in the History of Biology from the 1920s.^[4]

An interesting side note is that Pasteur was a Capricorn ( “My image really matters more than the truth”) and died at the age of 62. Bechamp lived until almost 92 in 1908!

I share this vignette to make this point: Stand up for what you believe to be true even if you don’t die with the most marbles. It may be the next generation who benefits from your efforts and/or calling. The archetype of Capricorn as we have known it through the father, society and our vocation is deconstructing now. Watch who steps into leadership next year. That is all I am going to say for right now.

We are in the most globally transformational experiment in history. Can we turn this time of uncertainty into LifeQuake Miracles? Mother Earth is listening.

What and who we are listening to is critical to managing fear and strengthening our immune systems right now. I predict we are going to learn so much about the immune system in this pandemic and the role fear and serenity play in being healthy in the coming years.

According to psychologist Janice Kiecolt-Glaser, PhD, and immunologist Ronald Glaser, PhD, of the Ohio State University College of Medicine who were intrigued by animal studies that linked stress and infection. These pioneer researchers studied medical students. Among other things, they found that the students’ immunity went down every year under the simple stress of the three-day exam period. Test takers had fewer natural killer cells, which fight tumors and viral infections and of course, got sick.

They almost stopped producing immunity-boosting gamma interferon, and infection-fighting T-cells responded only weakly to test-tube stimulation.Managing stress, especially chronic or long-term stress (even if it’s not intense), may help people to fight germs.

Kiecolt-Glaser and Glaser confirmed this hopeful option by comparing the immune function of exam-stressed medical students given hypnosis and relaxation training with that of students without auditory training. At first, the immune responses of the two groups appeared to both go down. However, closer inspection revealed that some students took this exercise more seriously than others. ( Does that sound familiar?) Those who didn’t take relaxation training seriously didn’t fare so well; those who practiced conscientiously did actually have significantly better immune function during exams than students who practiced erratically or not at all.

The sounds we are listening to right now are so critical to our immune system function. The music we listen to is part of this but so is the feedback we get from well intentioned friends who’ve spent way too much time listening to the news. I encourage social distancing from negative messages.

21 years ago when I was conducting a study for my doctoral dissertation, my experimental method was a cassette tape that those in the case study would listen to during a certain period of time for relaxation. The control group listened to nothing except were instructed to observe their feelings during this critical month that I knew would be stressful from planetary influences lasting 3 months. I then instructed the experimental group to stop listening to the guided meditation for another month and record their stress response to determine the efficacy of the tape.

Well! I had an insurrection. The experimental group that had received the tape did not want to give up their recording of my voice inducing a relaxation exercise. I had to promise them the return of the recording once the one month second phase was over to retrieve it and save my research!

Although we are all sequestered right now, there is an opportunity to find your own music both metaphorically and literally. There is a wonderful children’s book that my web designer David Woolfrey shared with me called Giraffes Can’t Dance that I recommend getting if you can. The message is very much about using this time to discover “what lights you up to find your own dance”.

2) Saturn has just moved into Aquarius for a few months. Aquarius rules humanity. Saturn rules structure. With Jupiter and Pluto still in Capricorn( the death and restructure of society), we are being called to come together as a global family. In July, Saturn will go back into Capricorn until December when it transits into Aquarius for 2 1/2 more years. This transition from Capricorn to Aquarius occurred just as everything got real in the U.S. We will see this transition again in November/December.

If placed with good aspects in certain houses, it influences our finances, as it rules the sign of Taurus which rules the house of the money we earn directly.
