In aboriginal tribes, when an individual has a psychological breakdown, the person is seen as a healer and is instructed to go alone into the forest or desert for their initiation. They were meant to leave the ordinary world behind to connect with the non-ordinary realm for the new vision. In the western world, we call them crazy. Perhaps we are all being called now to go into our own inner forest and integrate all of our “selves”, as we prepare for the new world.

We are formally in the Eclipse Season. What makes this a particularly intense summer ( besides the uncertainty that Covid-19 brings) is that a transition is happening astrologically. We have three eclipses with four different planets and archetypes involved. The June 5th-6th Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius moon/Gemini sun is asking of us to embrace our inner duality in order to discover what the truth is for each of us. Make no mistake, a revolution is coming that will transform the world. The U.S. chart is being hit big time with both lunar eclipses in June and July. Find out when we had these influences last when I take a deeper dive in the activation on June 6th.

Sagittarius rules the media, publishing, religion, the law, foreign countries, and spiritual philosophy. It also rules the liver in medical astrology. I will explore this in greater depth in our full moon lunar eclipse activation on Saturday, June 6th at 9:00 AM PDT. We will do an energetic liver cleanse in the first activation.

I will also be sharing a little about how President Trump’s destiny has been intertwined with the U.S. chart as well. He literally has a Gemini Sun and Sagittarius moon and that is just for starters. The partner solar eclipse in December, 2020 will oppose his sun. I believe we are in the mixed energy now of what is the truth about ourselves and the world on one hand, and what does safety and security for each of us mean with this last eclipse pairing on June 21st and July 4th-5th in Cancer and Capricorn. And at what cost, will we seek to preserve it?

Mercury moves into its shadow on June 1st officially, so I would get as much done as you can in the coming 10 work days before the full moon lunar eclipse. Tomorrow, Thursday with the moon void in the afternoon and evening, might be best to make your commitments on Friday and if you can hold off on surgeries, wait until after mid July.

This bears repeating: When an inner planet like Mercury or Venus are retrograde, they are the closest to the earth in their orbit, therefore exert an even more powerful influence. Venus will be in retrograde, until June 25. Because of its position in Gemini, the sign that rules communication, we will also be confronted with how we communicate with others, including social media. It also brings to light in mass communication, a la the media, information that we didn’t have before.

As we engage this Venus in Retrograde for the next 28 days, it is a time to reflect on how to use our “Wholy Self” to choose relationships and bring awareness to the words we use to connect with others.

As we approach the new moon in Gemini next weekend, we are in a time of completion. This week is about completing what we have already started. The good news is that we have no void of course action this week so a good week to be industrious. I want to devote some time here to Venus Retrograde and the coming Mercury retrograde. As I have said a few times, my passion is helping you prepare for change, not be at the mercy of it. This is what my new book The LifeQuake Miracle is all about.

When an inner planet like Mercury or Venus are retrograde, they are the closest to the earth in their orbit, therefore exert an even more powerful influence. As we have just begun the Venus Retrograde, I will address Venus in Gemini a bit. Venus in retrograde can bring people from your past (including past lives) back into your life. Depending on what house Venus is moving backward in, will show you what you need to rectify in your relationship patterns. Venus in retrograde also asks of you to look at what you value. Because of its position in Gemini, the sign that rules communication, we will also be confronted with how we communicate with others. It also brings to light in mass communication, ala the media, information that we didn’t have before.

For example, a lot of data has now come out on the danger of wearing facial masks chronically for more than just a few minutes for the individual who is not in surgery or the frontlines. According to physician, Russell Blayblock, M.D. ( and I have read at least 3 physicians saying the same thing) “By wearing a mask, the exhaled viruses (if you are sick or asymptomatic),will not be able to escape and will concentrate in the nasal passages, enter the olfactory nerves, and travel to the brain.” According to 17 of the best studies, there has been no positive correlation to protection. More and more people are realizing that physical distancing is adequate in stores, etc so, it will be interesting as we move toward the new moon in Gemini next Friday evening, Saturday morning, what else will be revealed. I will also be sharing about the most famous Gemini right now, President Trump and his destiny.

Although the Indian teacher, Gurumayi Chidvilasananda has the astrological sun sign of Cancer, her Venus is in Gemini so I thought I would share how Venus in Gemini can look in both low order and highly evolved form. Unevolved Venus in Gemini people can be very monogamy challenged and truth challenged. Gemini rules the twins, so Venus in Gemini can carry on secret relationships and lie to both partners and be so believable, they believe it themselves. I once had a Taurus boyfriend with Venus in Gemini and when it was revealed that he was seeing both me and another woman, he continued to lie in spite of the evidence!

However, when someone comes on to the planet as a very evolved being such as this Indian guru mentioned above, Venus in Gemini in soul entered astrology is exalted. To quote Alan Oken, ” In the life of a fully soul centered being, Venus in this position gives one the understanding of the spiritual purpose behind every relationship.

My take on this is that for a spiritual teacher who has spent thousands of hours in meditation, and has a following of millions, she utilizes the Higher Mind to understand what the true nature of each relationship she engages is best suited for, as well as the ability to serve both God and humans as her partners.As we engage this Venus in Retrograde for the next 35 days, it is a time to reflect on how to use our “Wholy Self” to choose relationships and bring awareness to the words we use to connect with others.

Everyone shudders when they hear the word “retrograde”. What if we just spent the time “going back over stuff” to grade up? History only repeats what hasn’t been upgraded.

We are beginning a long phase of five months when all the planets will eventually retrograde at once. This week, Venus is not only out of bounds but begins to retrograde as well. Venus is in the sign of Gemini, ruler of communication and governed by the planet Mercury. In March when this global transition officially began, Mercury was in Pisces, so information about what is real from the point of view of physical threat was murky. As Mercury moved into Aries, more information came to light. Physicians explaining what masks can and cannot do, nurses explaining the downside of bringing surgical gloves into the grocery store, who is really at risk, etc

We are building toward the last eclipse pairing of these two on June 21st and July 5th. These eclipses are a whole lot a’ power because they influence the U.S. birth chart and we influence the world. History repeats itself and I would say, repeats itself more dramatically if we dont get the lesson the first time. In the summer of 1982 when we had these eclipses, the recession hit a high we hadn’t seen since the Great Depression. When all was said and done, unemployment went to almost 11%. Eclipses repeat every 19 years. So, what happened in 2001? We feel their effects about 3 months before and/or three months after. Two months and 7 days after the lunar eclipse on July 5th, 2001, the U.S. government enacted the Patriot Act and “Homeland Security”, the day after 9/11.

The astrological sign of Cancer ( the U.S. sun sign) loves words like safety and security. It also rules mother and the home. What are we being asked to do to feel secure and safe now? The sound bites are so Cancerian, “stay home for the safety of yourself and others”. So, here we are building to the next and last eclipse in Cancer and Capricorn. I believe that what happens in the months following these eclipses coming depends totally on what we choose to make security mean and whether we continue to strengthen our immune systems, come from love, and change our habits.

There are people who were born with co-morbidity factors of diabetes and lung challenges so I’m not speaking to you. Changing our habits as restrictions are loosened is paramount to what happens next November when we have the last line up of this historic conjunction of Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in Capricorn. The first line up in January ushered in the pandemic. The opportunity is to transcend comfort into what nourishes your soul. If we eat to live, instead of living to eat, we will reduce our carbon footprint by sheer reduction of waste. If we walk or ride a bike instead of driving everywhere, we reduce our carbon footprint. If we are given the option to work part time from home or choose a new career that allows for that, we reduce our carbon footprint.

Mother Earth ( Pachamama) has been coming to me in the dreamtime for years. If we make the uncomfortable habit changes to create a healthy immune system and healthy planet, she doesn’t have to resort to unleashing viruses to get our attention. It really doesn’t matter if this is a plandemic or her ruthless compassion or both. When the light can’t get out attention through little wake up calls and messages like Al Gore’s film in 2006, An Inconvenient Truth, we then need an antagonist to do the job. No accident that an icon of the excess of the 80’s became President.

If we go back to the last time that fascism was building in the world in the 30’s, we can see why history repeats itself. What is different now than then is that the internet is giving us a glimpse into how media is controlled. There is a cross over of eclipses coming that really reflect the truth coming to the mainstream.

Astrology Tips for the Week

Monday, May 11th is action packed. Move slowly. – Saturn turns retrograde for five months. Time to transmute the inner critic into the great discerner. As Saturn rules the career and mission house, this is a perfect time to discover what your soul wants you to be aligned with that nourishes your work life. and Mercury and Mars go Void-of-Course.

Following a waxing first quarter crisis of action square, both Mercury and Mars go void-of-course in the wee hours until 3:00 PM PDT for Mercury. Mercury’s will last for almost 14 1/2 hours while Mars will be much longer, lasting for almost 45 hours. Choose your words carefully. Think before speaking. Avoid arguments, impulsive actions or “speaking your mind.” Be prepared to “eat your words” or make apologies for any words said in anger or haste.

With Mars void-of-course stay alert as accidents may be more prevalent. Watch out for the other guy, the one who causes accidents. Reschedule any elective surgery you may have scheduled until after Mars enters Pisces May 12.

Tuesday May 12, 2020 VOID MOON, 7:29 AM PDT 10:29 AM EDT until 12:35 PM PDT, 3:35 PM EDT. Not the best day to go shopping until the afternoon or make any commitments or elective surgical procedures.

Wednesday, May 13, no exact aspects. Best day of the week to make any progress but things are definitely slowing down so be patient.

Thursday, May 14 Void Moon for 11 hours 11:02 AM – 10:38 PM PDT, 2:02 PM – 1:02 AM EDT. Same as above advice for Tuesday on void moon. Venus and Jupiter, the two blessing planets both go retrograde and joins the Venus out of bounds. For the next 40 days, reflect on what you truly value and what will nourish you and spend money on that. Not a time to form new partnerships either romantic or business.

Friday, May 15th Mercury begins to drop its speed from 2 degrees a day until it finally reverses in a few weeks. All in all, if you can, delay starting major plans until mid July when at least, Venus and Mercury will be direct again for best results. Jupiter stays retro until September 12. As it rules higher learning and mind expansion amongst other things, this is a great time to be availing yourself of a bevy of online courses.

Sunday the void moon is back on May 17. Great day to rest as much as possible.

How are you? When I ask that question, I’m really asking you to ask you, how am I, really? Not your outer life, but you at your core.

Now that Pluto has gone retrograde for over 5 months, we are being called to excavate our shadow selves, the parts of us that we deny or have shame around. Sometimes, what we deny in ourselves is the fertilizer not the s-t we think it is. Pluto, as it is Scorpio ruled, rules addictions too. Ask any recovering addict, he or she will extol their gratitude for the transformation they received; how their addictions took them into surrendering to their higher power for recovery. Pluto is powerful and he moves through the sign of Capricorn ( ruler of society and career) for another 2 years. He as an archetypal energy is dismantling our work life and life as we’ve known it. Further, he hasn’t even gotten to the Pluto return of the U.S. natal chart until next March, but we are feeling it, now that it has come within two degrees, before it began to retro last Saturday.

Now that most of us are sequestered, the next greatest pandemic we are here to deal with is our fear of uncertainty. There is nothing that accelerates evolutionary progress more in us than learning to trust in the unseen forces that can guide us, by sitting with the feelings that being out of control brings. This is the gift of chaos. It is required. Pluto destroys and if we trust the process, reshapes us into something stronger.

These next five months, I invite you to live your life like you are training for a marathon – eat healthy, get 20-40 min of cardio, take a nap in the afternoon or at least get 7-9 hours sleep every night, and spend time in meditation for at least 15 minutes. Even if your mind has trouble focusing on the breath, taking long, deliberate breaths for at least 15 min will do wonders for strengthening your lung capacity, oxygenating your blood, and raising T cells that enhances the immune system.

One month after Pluto goes direct, in November, it will meet Saturn and Jupiter in the same line up we had in January for the first time in history. November has traditionally started flu season but you don’t have to be infected, if you make choices for your health. Choosing to nourish the body with foods rather than comfort the body with food is giving the god Pluto his due. If we go into the underworld and explore the most vulnerable parts of ourselves, we can emerge with the highest gift of Pluto – wealth. In the charts of many wealthy people, you will see an alignment of Pluto and Jupiter, the planet of expansion and luck. However, it is possible to make our own luck by the practices above. Alchemy – leaded consciousness into gold is Pluto’s real estate.

When I work with my clients or students on uncovering their new soul driven purpose, I teach them how to quickly dissolve fear and listen for the subtle messages of what is the next step, and only the next step. 
As we are moving toward the full moon in Scorpio, I felt drawn to look at the chart of Lady Gaga, otherwise known as Stephani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. Italians love to give their kids lots of names so as not to offend numerous relatives. I have a bunch! Helene Toni Theresa Gagliardi. But I digress, once against this was perfect as we move toward our Pluto ruled full moon next Thursday in Scorpio. Lady Gaga, although a typical trailblazing Aries has a Moon Pluto conjunction in Scorpio in the house of romantic love, which gives one a deep soul that knows the suffering of love attachment.

What struck me about Gaga is that she has walked her own path even as a child in a Catholic school. She tolerated being made fun of for her eccentricity that would prove to be what has made her the reigning Queen of Pop. She is also a major philanthropist, championing LBGTQ rights and most recently her Covid 19 benefit for health care workers, and her own foundation to support mental health in teens.

Although we all are not born Aries, it is a time for courage as it originates in french – of the heart. Follow your heart. Speaking of following my heart, my interview is now on Gaia network through The Healing Matrix . I shared with great vulnerability my path as a healer and the steep price it required of me. The response in just the past three days has been overwhelming. I had no idea that this show was being watched that much. Dr Morter’s interview of me was brilliant. Astrology Tips for the Week

Friday, MAY DAY we have a void moon for 13 hours from early morning 9:04 AM PDT until 10:30 PM. If you can, avoid important meetings and rest as much as possible. I would avoid the grocery store as people will be spacier than usual.

Sunday the void moon is back. Great day to rest as much as possible.
Venus is still out of bounds until June 1st and will go retro on May 15 for 40 days. A great time to channel earthy Sun in Taurus desires into your altruistic impulses or learning something that will enliven your purpose here!
